This module delves into the role of the European External Action Service (EEAS), responsible for the EU’s foreign and security policy. The course provides insight into the EEAS’s core functions, notably conducting EU foreign & security policy, leading the EU’s diplomatic missions worldwide, and ensuring coherence and consistency in the EU’s external action. Moreover, the course will cover the structure of the EEAS and its key officials, its relationship with other EU institutions, and its role in representing and advancing the EU’s interests and values globally.
